| POLICE CALLS: Bikes stolen while boys explore creek - Mansfield News Journal Posted: 25 Aug 2009 03:58 AM PDT POLICE700 block of Springmill Street, Mansfield -- Police issued summonses for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia to a 48-year-old man after a traffic stop Saturday. Randal Road and South Main Street -- Two boys said they left their bikes in a parking lot Monday while they explored a stream. When they returned 30 minutes later, the bikes were gone. 700 block of Banner Street -- A 39-year-old woman said she entered her home Monday and found someone had entered and turned on the water in her bathroom and kitchen. Damage was estimated at $2,500 in damage. Affordable ATVs, 1395 W. Longview Ave. -- An employee reported a 30-year-old man bought ATVs with checks written on an account with insufficient funds. 1500 block of West Fourth Street -- An employee at Hawk's Family Auto Sales, 1590 West Fourth St., reported someone stole an '87 Cutlass on Monday. 300 block of Hammond Avenue -- A 35-year-old woman said someone entered her car Monday and stole her purse, which contained her driver's license. Speedway, 1321 Park Avenue West -- An employee said someone stole four bottles of vodka Monday. A security camera video was submitted to police. The News Journal does not identify people charged with misdemeanor offenses in the Emergency Calls. New York Governor David Paterson was in Amherst this morning at the company's subsidiary, GEICO Insurance Agency, to make the announcement at a press conference there. He pointed out that GEICO's decision to locate a new operation in Western New York was very important for the local and state economies.
